Following two years of heavy bloodshed in the Middle East, Türkiye, the US, Egypt, and Qatar have been instrumental in securing a ceasefire in Gaza. World leaders convened at the Sharm el-Sheik Peace Summit in Egypt, where US President Donald Trump praised Ankara’s role in brokering the truce and complimented all parties for their contribution to peace in the Middle East. The first phase of the agreement includes Tel Aviv stopping its attacks and the exchange of captives and prisoners with Hamas.
