Turkey hosts the Eighth Turkic Council Summit in Istanbul, convened entitled 'Green Technologies and Smart Cities in the Digital Age'. The summit of Turkic-language speaking states discussed various global issues that involved the climate crisis, economic integration, and Islamophobia. The member countries also voted to rename the council 'Türk Devletleri Teşkilatı' (Organization of Turkic States).
