On July 15, Turkey and Azerbaijan signed the ‘Shusha Declaration’, a security and economic treaty that focuses on defense cooperation and expanding transportation to boost post-war reconstruction in the recently liberated region. The agreement heralds the establishment of a six-country platform where Russia, Iran, Georgia, and Armenia join efforts against terrorism, organized crime, drug trafficking, and illegal immigration.
